If you’re planning on picking up your pick up rental dubai, it’s important to be prepared and know what to expect when you arrive at the location where you’ll pick up your rental truck in Dubai. First and foremost, it’s helpful to have all of the necessary paperwork handy, including your vehicle insurance and driver’s license as well as proof of your UAE residency status (your UAE ID). Once you’ve done that, simply follow these directions from the owner of Avis Rent A Car when picking up your rental truck in Dubai.
Information about our pick up location
At Total Transit, we have 3 different pick-up locations depending on where you are located around Dubai. Our main office is at Jumeirah and we also have other two satellite offices at Business Bay and Satwa. Our Jumeirah office provides pick-up services from Al Barsha, Burj Khalifa, Downtown or JBR areas. If you’re located at these areas, then simply contact us via email with your details of location and time of pick-up and our representative will get back to you within 12 hours from Monday – Friday from 8am – 7pm. On weekends however, our operating hours are 10am – 6pm for all three pick-up locations.
What you need to bring with you when picking up your vehicle
You will need a valid driver’s license and credit card to pick up a vehicle. The driver must have held their license for at least 2 years and had no more than 6 points on their license, if you are looking to rent an SUV. Any additional drivers who are listed on your contract must also be present with a valid driver’s license, as well as their own credit card or cash if they plan on paying for gas themselves. Finally, you will need proof of insurance for both liability and accident damage waiver (CDW) before you can drive off with your vehicle. If you can’t bring these documents with you when picking up, let us know beforehand so we can set everything up for you once you arrive at our office.
Tips on picking up
Picking up a rental truck can be tricky, especially if you’re doing it for the first time. Before you set out, make sure you know exactly where to go and how long it will take. If possible, avoid making a pick-up during rush hour traffic—you’ll save yourself some time and stress! Most of all, have fun with it; if you’re able to do it once with ease, there’s no reason why you can’t pick up your next vehicle or equipment with just as much confidence. After all, driving is its own reward—especially when you can get to where you need to go on time without stopping for directions!
Understanding the paperwork involved
You may already know that you’ll have to sign a liability waiver and a damage deposit waiver when picking up your U-Haul. Make sure you understand exactly what those mean. You don’t want any surprises when you’re at pick-up. Read through everything, ask questions if something doesn’t make sense, and get it all in writing—and then some! The more clarity you have before arriving at pick-up, the smoother things will go.
Payment options at pick-up
You will need to make sure you know how you are going to pay for your truck. There are a few options. You can pay with a credit card at pick-up, there is no charge or surcharge for doing so. Paying with cash is another option and we are able to give you change in Dirham’s if necessary. However, you will be required to leave a deposit of $2,500 per week which will be refunded when you return the vehicle. This can be paid by credit card or cash upon pick-up.
