Eligibility criteria

The aspirant must have passed class 12th from a recognized institute in science from any board such as CBSE, ICSE, or state board.

The candidate should secure at least 50 percent marks in subjects like physics and chemistry and also in optional subjects like biology or mathematics.

Some universities may also ask a candidate to appear in any medical entrance examination.


Admission process

The admission process for B.Sc. in radiology is quite simple and hassle-free. Universities have adopted different admission procedures like the Entrance-based, counseling-based, and merit-based admission that provides help to meritious students to seek admission in B.Sc. in Radiology.


Entrance-based admission

It is one of the most adopted admission processes by many institutions. A university asks a candidate to appear in a specific entrance test. These tests may vary with institutions.

In case an institution carries a test, then it releases the list of the score of students, and then admission is provided based on the result.

In case of fewer seats, an institution may also conduct a GD (group discussion) to select an ideal candidate. According to the results of the GD and entrance test, the eligible candidates for admission are selected.

Merit-based admission

Under such an admission process, a candidate must need to appear in the entrance test of the college.

After the test, you may also need to appear in GD or personal interview round for further selection process.

Counseling-based admission

It is one of the most opted options by both government and private universities; also, it is mostly adopted method of admission by students.

A college that adopts entrance-based admission releases a list of candidates’ score and their rank. Moreover, it also releases a list of students who are on merit and eligible for admission. It is calculated with the score of the entrance test and performance in the GD round and personal interview.

In both of these above admission processes, the eligible students may need to appear in the counseling round to seek admission to an appropriate college. The counseling round is the last and involves choosing the preferred colleges and streams.

As the student appears in the counseling round, the college verifies the result of a candidate in the entrance test and the rank of the candidate to select the eligible student for admission.

The above admission process is adopted by many institutions, but also many other institutions have a completely different set of rules for admission. Therefore it is advised to read the instruction regarding the admission process at the time of admission.

Course fee

In general, when compared to other courses, the paramedical courses are a bit expensive and can cost more than the other courses. And the same applies to B.Sc. in Radiology — the fee of this course is a bit more, i.e., rupees 30,000-90000 per year. But it is much less than the other paramedical courses like MBBS. The best part of this course is that it is worth the fees and provides a good career opportunity to the students. However, the fee of the course depends upon the institution and course you opt for. Also, many institutes provide scholarships to eligible candidates to provide financial assistance.
